This is really for me more than it is for anyone else. It has not been easy to stay forcused and encouraged in this particular season. This "competition" for lack of a better word has at times seemed unfair and really has the potential to make this particular goal seem unattainable. Notice, I did not say our destinies or our callings, I'm just speaking right now about this leg of the race. Please don't take this to mean I am upset or not absolutely elated for the other contestants. Those of you whom I have spoken with know that that is not the case. I just mean that some of the circumstances that have taken place here have been a little disheartening to say the least. You may enter your own obstacle here, and know that most of us have had some trying times. I asked myself at the beginning of this competition why God would compel me to do this. I have to say that at the end of this particular portion that I still don't have all the answers to that question. I can say that I have broken the ice with some of you, and I hope that we will continue that relationship. For some, I hope we will meet one day and do some DAMAGE to the kingdoms of this world (i.e i41xalthm, hendeken, ladysinger1, and others) until it becomes the Kingdom of Our Lord, and of His Christ...
I could say so much more, but sometimes what we say gets us in too much trouble. Not with others, but it forfeits the prayers, and the faith, and the favor that we look to obtain. So I will just leave you with this. My bible opens to this scripture, and while visiting a bible study here in Michigan, the Lord planted this Word yet again in my heart. I pray that it is planted in yours as well.
"Above all else guard your heart, for it affects everything you do.
Avoid all perverse talk, stay far from corrupt speech.
Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; then stick to the path and stay safe.
Don't get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.
