Q) Do my votes count even if I've posted no video?

A) No. To win the contest and have your submissions viewed by the judges, you must upload video. Those who have votes, but have not uploaded video will not be considered in the contest. 

Q) I've uploaded my video. Why don't I see it?

A) Videos are viewable on the site until they are approved by moderators. Check back in 48 hours. If your video has been approved, you will receive a notice and it will be available on the site. If your video is not approved, you will be informed.

Q) How do I mail-in my audition?

A) BET is not accepting mailed-in audition tapes. Either attend a casting call or upload your audition online.

Q) Why can't I sing with music?

A) Due to copyright laws, contestants are prohibited from using music in their videos. If music is included, the video cannot be posted online. You must sing one of the songs from the approved list, found in the Site Blog.

Q) How do I add contestants to Others I Like?

A) When watching a video, select Save in the blue navigation above the video. This adds that person to your Others I Like list. You must select a video to watch before adding to Others I Like. Only those that audition can be added.

Q) How do I add contestants to My Choir?

A) When watching a video, click on the "Add this person to my choir" hyperlink to the right of the video. You must select a video to watch before adding to Others I Like. Only those that audition can be added.

Q) My video is up, but I don't like it. Can I take it down?

A) No. Only the site administrator may remove a video posting. So think before you act, and make sure you've got it right before posting it. 

Q) When do I find out if I've made it through to the next round?

A) At the end of each round we'll contact the profiles who have the most votes via email and will move you to the next round.  You'll also be told what you need to do to continue in the casting call.  

Q) Will there be an opportunity to audition in front of the judges?

A) Yes. In February, there will be auditions in Atlanta. Auditions in Detroit and a 3rd city are TBD. Visit the site for more information. If you auditioned online, you can still audition in person.
